A wide range of help is available
Help with childcare costs is available from a range of different sources. The following covers parents who are very young, those who are students, those who are lone parents, those who are entering training or work, and those already in work who want to use childcare. Promoting the uptake of tax credits
- Free early education places for 3 and 4 year olds
- Child Tax Credit and the childcare element of Working Tax Credit
- New Deal - childcare support
- Employers support towards childcare costs
The materials available here are designed to assist you with a programme of promoting the uptake of tax credits in your authority or organisation. They have been developed during detailed work with some local authorities and used to assist training.
