Funding & capital grants
The Sure Start, Extended Schools and Childcare Group publishes a comprehensive A-Z Funding Directory for providers, partners and Business Support Officers (BSOs) that lists all the available funding, with details about how to and who can apply for the various funding. We have made a commitment to joining up funding streams as far as possible for early education, childcare and other family focused programmes in disadvantaged areas. We have rationalised and improved access to funding information thus reducing the bureaucratic burden on providers.
The childcare grant application process has been streamlined. Many of the funding streams are being assessed for suitability to be put through the standards fund, which is paid to local authorities.
