National Conference for Sure Start Children’s Centre Leaders, 4 March 2008, Royal Festival Hall
Over 1000 delegates attended the first ever national conference for Sure Start Children’s Centre Leaders at the Royal Festival Hall in London on 4 March 2008.
Celebrating the success of the Sure Start Children's Centre programme
Beverley Hughes the Minister of State for Children, Young People and Families, opened the conference. Her speech can be downloaded.
Beverley Hughes was joined by Stephen Timms, Minister of State for Employment and Welfare Reform (DWP), and Ann Keen, Parliamentary Under Secretary for Health Services (DoH), in a Ministerial Panel. You can view the Ministers' speeches.
There were several presentations on the day, including:
