Only a baby but...
An innovative booklet on child safety designed for practitioners who work with parents with poor literacy has been launched by the Child Accident Prevention Trust. I’m only a baby, but... is narrated by a baby who explains the common accidents that happen to babies, and gives advice on how parents can keep their baby safe.
I’m only a baby, but... has been produced by the Child Accident Prevention Trust with support from the Sure Start Unit and the Department of Health. The booklet features clear, colourful illustrations and simple language.
It’s been designed to support both one-to-one and group work with parents, but the accessible style makes it suitable for all parents who want a simple reference guide to baby safety, not just those who struggle with reading.
