Background on the programme
The Business Success for Childcare Programme was set up to deliver business
support training to childcare providers through a series of guides and
workshops. The programme also included resources and tools that assisted those
already working in the field to support childcare providers.
The programme was designed to reflect the emerging needs of the childcare
provider market, it incorporated feedback from Business Support Officers and
taking into account research commissioned by the Sure Start, Extended Schools
and Childcare Group and Workforce Development reports.
