The RED Book

The RED Book provides a business survival manual targeted at voluntary committee-run childcare that supports the setting-up and sustainability of new and existing childcare provision.

Designed to become a ‘live’ working document, it contains sections on money matters, staff, committees, structure & quality assurance and development. It has four functions:

  • To answer setting specific questions - the format is designed to enable a committee to utilise The RED Book as an integral part of any existing systems and procedures
  • To answer childcare related questions
  • Signposting
  • Forms & Templates
