Research to Inform the Management and Governance of children's centres
SQW Limited was commissioned by the DFES' Sure Start and Extended Schools and Families Group in July 2005 to undertake research to inform the management and governance of children's centres. Drawing on evidence from in-depth case studies with 25 children’s centres, this report examines the different governance and management structures and arrangements already in place - both locally and at local authority level - and identifies approaches and features that have been seemingly successful at this stage.
